Some alumni build careers. Others build companies. A few build both — and in doing so, they build people, opportunities, and a legacy that inspires an entire community.

Catherine Christine Magallones Hermosa stands firmly in that rare third category.

Her journey from WMSU CE Batch 2001 to board passer, project engineer, incorporator, construction manager, project manager, and entrepreneur is a story of grit, grace, and God‑centered purpose — the kind of story that reminds us why we created Alumni Stories: Lessons That Shape Us.

“Success is not a straight line — it is built piece by piece, decision by decision, day by day.”

A Career Built on Grit and Grace

Catherine’s foundation began at WMSU, graduating with CE Batch 2001 and passing the Civil Engineering Board Exam in May 2003.

Her early professional years as Project Engineer at RMH Engineering (2005–2010) sharpened her technical discipline and field instincts. She later became an Incorporator of RMH Construction Corp. (2010–2018), contributing to the growth of a company built on trust, teamwork, and shared vision.

Her leadership expanded further when she served as Project Manager at Grandblocks Corporation (2020–2025), where she brought structure, clarity, and calm to complex projects. Today, as Construction Manager at Ecossential Foods Corp., she oversees builds that demand precision, coordination, and the ability to lead diverse teams with confidence and compassion.

These roles alone would define a successful career. But Catherine didn’t stop there.

The Birth of Trinestone

In 2025, Catherine stepped boldly into entrepreneurship and founded Trinestone Construction Supplies — a business born from experience, insight, and courage.

Trinestone reflects her vision:

  • to provide reliable, high‑quality materials

  • to support contractors and builders

  • to create opportunities for others

  • to build something she can call her own

Entrepreneurship requires resilience. Catherine embraced it with the same strength she brings to every project.

Construction remains one of the toughest professional environments, especially for women. Yet Catherine moves through it with confidence, clarity, and quiet authority.

She is mentally tough, purpose‑driven, analytical yet compassionate — a strong and resilient woman who leads with both intellect and heart.

Her story becomes a powerful message to young female engineers:

You belong here. You are capable. You can lead. You can build.

“Leadership is not about being the loudest voice — it’s about being the most consistent one.”

Her Core Values: Integrity, Faith, and Compassion

Catherine’s leadership is anchored in values that guide every decision she makes:

  • Integrity is the cornerstone of true success.

  • She strives to lead with honesty, compassion, and accountability.

  • She is independent and self‑motivated, yet deeply rooted in her faith.

  • She trusts God as her ultimate guide in both professional and personal decisions.

These values are not just principles — they are the foundation of her character.

Lessons From the Field

Catherine’s journey is rich with lessons that resonate far beyond the job site:

  • teamwork matters more than titles

  • problems are solved by listening first

  • every project is built twice — first in the mind, then on the ground

  • respect is earned through consistency

  • growth begins the moment you step outside your comfort zone

These lessons shape not only her career, but the people who work with her.

Adaptability as a Competitive Edge

The construction industry evolves quickly — new technologies, new materials, new challenges. Catherine’s strength lies in her ability to adapt.

Whether managing supply chain issues, navigating client expectations, or balancing corporate responsibilities with entrepreneurship, she remains steady and solutions‑oriented.

Adaptability is not just a skill for her. It is a mindset.

A Mother, A Leader, A Builder

Behind her professional achievements is a deeply personal role she treasures: Mother of two wonderful kids.

Her ability to balance motherhood with leadership, business ownership, and project management is a testament to her resilience and devotion.

She builds structures — but she also builds a home filled with love, faith, and purpose.

A Message to Young Engineers

If Catherine could speak to the next generation, her message would be simple:

Start where you are. Use what you have. Grow relentlessly. Lead with integrity. And trust God to guide your steps.

Catherine Christine Magallones Hermosa continues to shape the construction landscape — through her projects, her leadership, and her entrepreneurial spirit.

Her story is not just about buildings. It is about building a life of purpose. Building opportunities for others. Building a legacy that lasts.

This is why her journey belongs here — among the stories that shape us.
